Akram Aylisli's novel "Stone Dreams" presented in Argentina

The first Spanish publication of the novel "Stone Dreams" of the Azeri writer Akram Aylisli, who suffered persecution by the government of President Ilham Aliyev was presented in Argentina at the 42nd Buenos Aires International Book Fair.

"I knew that my opinions would cause displeasure, but never could have thought that such horrors would be committed. It is very sad that a nation is humiliating herself in this way. A country that burns books will never be respected by the rest of the world". Words of the writer Akram Aylisli remembered in the back of the local edition, recalling when his novel was publicly burned in Baku.

The book was translated by Rosita Youssefian and has a preface by Argan Ayvazyan, Armenian researcher and specialist in Nakhchivan, and Pablo Kendikian, journalist and director of Prensa Armenia news agency.
