11.1.14
A new Argentina province legally recognized the Armenian Genocide, on the anniversary of the enactment of National Law 26.199 declaring the April 24 of every year as the "Action Day for Tolerance and Respect between People" in commemoration of the Armenian Genocide.

In the last days of 2013, the province of Tierra del Fuego enacted the 954 Provincial Law through 2948/13 Decree, adhering to the national legislation. This project was submitted by legislators Amanda del Corro and Fabio Marinello with the support of the Human Rights Secretary of Tierra del Fuego and was adopted unanimously on November 21, 2013.

Alejandro Avakian, delegate of the Armenian National Committee (CNA) of South America in Santa Cruz, said: "This recognition is part of the persistent works of the CNA in government agencies and political spaces of the Patagonia Argentina, provincial legislatures, universities and human rights organizations that promote the recognition of the Armenian Genocide as an undeniable historical fact. Virtually all Patagonian provinces have joined the National Law 26.199".
