Vice President of Argentina received Ambassador Melikian

Vice President of Argentina Amado Boudou received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Argentina Vahagn Melikyan on August 27, to discuss cooperation agreements between parliaments of both countries.

"We are aware of the importance of parliamentary diplomacy, so we want to strengthen our relationship with Argentina", said the Armenian diplomat after the meeting that took place in the Grey Hall of the Senate. "We attach special importance to direct relationship between members of the legislative bodies of both countries", added Melikian.

Boudou was accompanied by General Director of International Relations of the Senate Sabino Vaca Narvaja and General Director of Corporate Image and Information Technology Sergio Poggi. They began to prepare a project for a partnership agreement and technical cooperation for co-production of audiovisual content to be broadcasted in Argentina and Armenia.

Melikian thanked Boudou for his participation in the inauguration of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan in Yerevan. That time, Boudou held a series of meetings with Sargsyan and subsequently with the head of the National Assembly, Hovik Abrahamyan, in the Armenian parliament .

During that trip, Boudou highlighted the "important relationships between Argentina and the Armenian community" and stressed that "Armenian community in our country is very important and is deeply involved in the issues of Argentina".
